Alice L. Kramer

Alice Kramer was the first woman to start and maintain a law practice in Jefferson County, Missouri. After graduation from the Washington University School of Law in 1974, she was hired by Brunson Hollingsworth and worked in general trial practice until 1990. In 1990 she opened her own office, handling both criminal and civil litigation. She eventually concentrated in the area of family law. Kramer and Hand was formed in 2000 after Alice Kramer's partnership with Julianne Platz Hand.


Kourtney Lamb, a native of Iowa, moved to Missouri to study law at the University of Missouri in Columbia. During law school, she participated in Mock Trial, Mediation, Negotiation and Client Counseling competitions which honed her advocacy skills for the practice of law. She was Vice President of the Student Bar Association and a Student Ambassador. She graduated with her law degree in May of 2005 and joined Kramer and hand in August. Since then she has been practicing Family Law in Jefferson County.
